Day 1 In Lay Off Land...

Well, so far so good. I had a "list" of things I wanted to accomplish today and - guess what - I did all of them! Woohoo!

The morning started around 6 (unfortunately) in my pj's, drinking coffee, answering email. 7:00 brings the Today show, which I am not typically able to watch. I watched. Then there was a bit of surfing on the net (I didn't say these were ultra-productive items...just that I wanted to do them!)

It was pretty cold this morning, so I waited a few hours for the temps to come up a bit, and I bundled up and went for a run! As my cool down, I picked up Tucker and Max and took them for a walk, where Tucker behaved horribly when spotting any other little animals on the trail.

Tucker also got to run some errands with me, which prevented him from following his normal napping schedule. We went up to the bike shop for a bit - it's hilarious to see him trying to run on the slick floors. He also loves to bark at Paul and the air compressor.

Look, I know this has been a lot of excitement in one post, but try to hang on...we're almost done. We swung by Office Max, and picked up a small file cabinet for organizing the home office, and headed home.

After a few phone calls, we were settling in for the night. See there - who says unemployment can't be exciting! :-)
I did get to talk with one of my coworkers who was also let go, and I was so happy to hear that he sounded like he was doing very well!

Alright, that's all for day one. We'll see what the rest of the week brings!

Why don't you come to orlando for thanksgiving weekend. I have the beach condo available for the month. We can get Pam, Chandra, cindy ect. together.Pam's parents are in town that weekend. It would be fun! Think about it.

How's day 2? Sorry I missed your call yesterday. You and Tucker must be having a blast. He probably has no clue as to why you are home, but he's happy. Things are really busy for me right now. Since companies are being re-assigned, there's alot of adjustments to make. Call me sometime soon. Sharon at Work
