See there, you'd think I'd be blogging everyday with my new found freedom, but I've been keeping myself pretty busy! I cannot believe it's already been 1 week since I've been "off work". I was able to get my home office organized, including a new filing system - woohoo! I also taught my first spinning class up at Epic Bike and Sport. It's so different teaching on my own bike and trainer. I've done that before to some extent, but never with the entire class on their own bikes. What's interesting about that is each bike has varied gearing, not to mention that each person uses a different trainer, providing different amounts of resistance. It definitely makes it a teeny bit challenging, but it was a great workout! I've missed teaching!
If any of you locals are out there looking for a spinning workout - you should call up and put your name on the list tomorrow morning. Obviously we won't be having class Thanksgiving evening (though, maybe we should be! ha ha)
Alright, back to my activities for the past week. Troy and Cathy invited me over for dinner last week - it was fun catching up with them and watching the boys play the Wii. They certainly have their hands full right now!
I had lunch with a couple of my friends as well. It's nice getting together with folks, while I have the time. I was also able to get out for a couple runs/walks with tucker. Unfortunately, I didn't get any outdoor bike rides in - bummer! I'm hoping to start a new "plan" this week, and am adding in weight training. I haven't done that for a while and am looking forward to it.
Friday night I went with my friend, Ashley, to see our friend, Jancee, in her high school musical. She did such a great job, as did the rest of the cast. It was fun!
I think that's enough for now - the Turkey Trot is on our agenda Thanksgiving morning. It's always fun!
