Packet Pick up & Diva Night at Epic

Well, I suppose I should let everyone know that I recently started a new job. No, I didn't quit my full-time job at AmCen, but I am now working part time at Epic Bike and Sport! It's something Scott and I have chatted about here and there, and it's just good timing now. So, I started working there a few weekends ago, and so far - so good.
It's really been fun, 'cause there is so much for me to learn about bikes, gear, components, etc. The timing was great too, 'cause it's been good having a gal in the shop to help the ladies getting geared up for the triathlon.
So, Wednesday night was packet pick up for the race. I went up there and got all my stuff and then hung out for a little bit. I didn't know if we were gonna end up setting things up for Diva night, which was Thurs night.
Amy S. with Specialized, brought the demo truck out. So, there was a bike demo from noon-6, and then a program from 6-8. I took 1/2 day off and headed over there around 2. Terry met me up there, and I rode one of the bikes Amy brought, and Terry got to ride Scott's bike. We didn't ride them a super long time, but it was good just testing out another frame. Then we got on our own bikes and went out for another hour or so. It was a perfect day to be out, but for some reason, my legs weren't really working! ;-)
We got back to the shop, and I showered/changed there, to avoid the traffic mess. Then we set up for Diva night. It was fun. I got to see Carol (fellow DFT team member), and talked to several gals who had either been in the shop recently, or I knew from other places. Amy did a nice job going over bikes and gear, and some of the ladies asked some good questions. We did a little bit of picking up, but not much - I was ready to get out of there! I was pooped and hungry! I took the day off tomorrow too, so at least I don't have to get up early! Yippee
