One - HUNDY

Big news, big news...the Honda CR-V turned over to 100,000 miles this week. Oh yeah! Let's just hope it survives another hundred thousand or so!

It was another very busy week at work. I don't care for that so much...I'd prefer a little breathing room, but -hey-it's work, right? I have to be honest though, with the hectic week, I was forced out of my comfort zone a bit and into some new territory. So, if I look at it that way, I definitely learned some things.

What else? Well, it seems I've taught my last spinning class at Sly Powell. I've been either taking classes up there or teaching there for four+ years, so it'll be very strange not heading up there every M/W/F. Talk about a difficult decision - I was very torn, but the fact is, membership has declined significantly and instructor pay is being cut a bit. The equipment cannot compare with nearby facilities...all that factored in with fuel prices, etc., it's just economically dumb for me to continue teaching there. I'll miss the participants and wish them all well as they venture into some new classes!

I'm thinking about doing the Women's tri in Smithville a week from today. I didn't realize it was on a Saturday, so...why not do it, right? More on that later.

Jennie (brunette) is outta here! She and the family packed up and headed to Denver yesterday. So sad to see her go, but now I can add them to the list of folks I want to go visit in Denver! Good luck with the move Jennie & Jason!

Paul is a homeowner now...he's moving in today, so hopefully that's all going well. What a weekend to pick for a move - it's piping hot here today! Happy home-owning, Paul!

And, a couple buddies at work are also relocating to their territories this week - Chris and his family are setting up shop in Salt Lake City this weekend. I've worked with Chris for something like 10 years!!! It'll be very strange not seeing his mug around the office now. Brett and his crew head to Denver (yes, what is it with that place?? ha ha) this week. He's fairly new to our organization, but fit in right away and it feels like he's been around a long time too. So, add them to the Denver "visit" list.

Tucker and I went on a walk this morning, where he behaved like a nut job! I'm hoping to get a ride in later today, but it'll have to be pretty late, as heat index is above one hundy (clever tie back to the name of this entry, eh?) today - and air quality is poor! So, we'll see. Right now, I gotta clean up and meet Sharon up at the bike shop. She's getting a bike rack put on her car, and then we're headed to Terry's for a fitting. Wahoo - another road convert!!!
