The P2's Maiden Voyage

Well, I took my new ride on its maiden voyage almost 2 weeks ago. The sad thing is that I didn't have occasion to take it out again until last night...oh so sad.
Just to backtrack a bit, the first ride was fairly short - I believe it was around 45 minutes. The aero position is so different from what you get used to on a road set up, so it wasn't super comfortable initially. I noticed that my forearms were a bit sore, and I had trouble relaxing my shoulders/upper body - just not used to having something to "rest" my arms on.

Last night's ride was pretty fun! I haven't mentioned that, in addition to finding my new bike, Terry also found some new wheels for me. He has these Cosmic Carbones that I was fortunate to borrow for a race earlier in the season - they were amazing! These wheels just roll and roll and roll, once you get up to speed. It's pretty cool. Well, he found some of these for me (after much searching), and now I'm also a proud ownder of Cosmic Carbone wheels. Wahoo.

I rode these puppies last night, on the new bike, and let's just say that it was fun! I loved it. It was a bit cool and windy last night, and I still need to dial in my positioning on the new bike, but overall, I'm very pleased with the purchases.

Terry has also done a great job of getting me all set up and making these adjustments along the way. I'm sure it'll take a bit more time to really adapt to the new position, but so far so good!
