Decisions, Decisions....

Ironman CDA is about 8 months away now. You would think that 8 months allows plenty-o-time to book lodging, airfare, etc. Well, not really. I should've booked lodging back in August or September, but time just gets away from us, right?
So, here we are getting close to the end of October, and I needed to make a decision. It's kinda hard deciding what type of lodging you want and its location, when I've never even visited Coeur d'Alene, and I haven't done an ironman. So, it's a bit of trial and error.

I actually ended up looking at vacation rentals - renting a furnished house in the area. As it turns out, it seems like the most cost-effective option. We'll see when all is said and done, but it looks good at this point.

I found a house that I will rent for 1 week. The house is located between Spokane, WA (closest airport) and downtown Coeur d'Alene (location of the race). It's on a lake and, what I can tell from the pics, it's beautiful and in a beautiful area! It'll be a nice retreat pre/post race! There's also lots of room for guests! :-)

Lodging? Check.
