More Fun Tiling!

It stormed all night, so between that and sleeping in a different bed last night...there just wasn't much sleeping. We were all up early, 'cause dad was teaching a concealed handgun class at the house this morning. So, mom and I went to breakfast and then it was back to work!

Terry was making some pretty good progress on the tile, and the day was running along just fine. I went to pick up the boys from school, and dropped them (and some friends) off at their house to play some wii! I hadn't been back at the house too long when the motor to Terry's wet saw broke. Are you kidding? We quickly made some calls and found a place in North KC that was gonna try to match the motor. So, I headed out again. When I got to the place, I realized it was only an "order" placement place - I had to drive to another location off 18th street - uh-oh. It was 4:30 and they're only open till 5. I got some directions and bolted. After a lot of him-hawin' around, I had a motor that looked pretty similar and I was pretty hopeful it would work!

By the way, temps have been dropping all day long and it's coooold outside. I got back to the house and we tested the motor - it works! Yeah! We're back in business.
I also found out that my trip to the parts place spared me another trip to Lowes for some more glue! Wahoo!

I think we ended up taking a dinner break shortly after I returned. Kathy made dinner both nights, which was really nice. So, we ran over, ate, and came back.
We had this hose hooked up out front. There's lots of rinsing of buckets/mixing stuff, etc., so the hose came in handy. Well, neither of us even thought about the hose when we left for dinner - it had frozen! Ooops. I guess it really is getting cold tonight!

Terry was finishing up the bathroom and literally had TWO cuts to go and the tubing on the wet saw FROZE. I suggested we use a hairdryer to thaw it out and...whattaya know - it worked! That was just enough to get the two final cuts and finish up the floor. Yeehaw!

That's it for today. Terry's pretty busy on Wednesdays, so we won't be doing any tile work tomorrow, but will pick it back up Thursday.
