SO ANNOYING!

I'm so annoyed that i'm sick! I have this "cold" or whatever it is that has settled in my chest. So, there goes the whole after holiday, really getting back on the stick with the workouts! AAAAGHHHHH - can you hear my frustration?!
Yes, I should probably go to the doctor, but you just figure there's tons of this stuff going around and maybe it's viral and untreatable by the ol' antibiotic. I'm also irritated with myself because I think this could've been prevented if I would've packed my Vemma/Verve for Chicago. I didn't have any travel bottles and had visions of orange/brown liquid all over my clothes, so I didn't bring any with me. I started feeling it hitting while I was gone and tried Zicam, honey (which, if you know me, you know I DESPISE honey), hot tea, rest...apparently it didn't work. Oh well, I know there are many other sickees out there right now, and I feel your pain. I'll look at the positive - I don't have to get up and haul it in to work every day, right?
Enough of my rant...let's catch up on what else has been going on. I can't believe my last post was Christmas! It's been busy since then, but what have I been doing? Our church moved into a new building, so the weekend after Christmas was busy, trying to get everything ready to move, etc.
On Monday, following Christmas, I boarded a plane for Chicago. I spent all week visiting Lonnie, Eric, Olivia and Joshua. We had a great time! We went to see a hockey game, watched movies, went to a movie, Lonnie and I went shopping and to the spa, and we played lots and lots of games! In fact, we rang in the New Year playing games!
I came home Friday night, and wasn't feeling great. I passed on a game night with some other friends and opted for cough medicine and my bed. My boy, Tucker, was pretty excited to have me home! Thanks to my parents for watching him while I was gone - it's so nice not worrying about him, or having to pay big bucks to board him!
The weekend was full of hub-bub. As I mentioned, we were moving into a new church building - Sunday was our first service in the new digs. So, Saturday, I was working on some publications, and we had a trio practice. I was worried about my voice holding up, but thankfully it did. The services were great - everything looks so nice and we're all really excited to be in our new location!
Many folks are wondering about the job search - well, I'll be attending a class with a career building firm next week. That will be the start of my search. They'll help with determining what it is you want to do, re-vamping the resume, etc. I'm looking forward to it. An added bonus is that I get to attend the class with some of my former coworkers!
I think that's about it for now. I'm just gonna try to get well so I can get on with the working out and such! Hope everyone else is off to a good start in 2009! Happy New Year!

Eric wanted me to tell you that he took honey (more than once) and is feeling great!! You were a trooper trying it though. :) For all of you out there reading this I wish I had a camera to take a picture of her taking her dose of honey - it wasn't pretty.

Hope you feel better soon!
