I'm still amazed at what an interesting tool Facebook is - all these folks connected through modern technology. Think about the "kids" growing up now...will they ever truly lose touch with anyone? Likely not, since they have all these tools. Who knew.
It's been fun catching up and checking out old pics people are posting.
So, let's see here...what have I been doing? Well, Saturday was the first day I went out to do some Christmas shopping. Kathy (Terry's wife) and I went - we haven't been shopping in a long time, so it was really fun getting out with her! We also accomplished a lot of shopping! Saturday evening, we celebrated my dad's birthday!!!
Kim had to work, so Bill, Bailey and I went over to my parents' house and ate cake and opened presents. Dad made out like a bandit with a pretty nice travel coffee mug (his staple!) and lots of new duds. He was pretty excited. I have a few pics, but haven't taken them off my camera yet...will do that soon. We also broke out the old yearbooks and looked at some pics. Bailey was having fun trying to pick out her daddy, aunt sharon and aunt dawn in the pages of the yearbooks. She told me for one of my pics..."your hair looks different, but your face looks just the same." Thank goodness she pointed out that my hair looked different!
Sunday was a typical busy day - after church, I rushed over to Epic for work. We were actually fairly busy for a Sunday afternoon in December. It's always good to be busy though...and it's fun talking to different folks. I spread the word about spinning class to several of the folks who came in, so hopefully that'll drum up more business for classes in the coming weeks. After work, it was back to church, though I missed choir practice!
Yesterday, I spent most of the day working on brochures for my church. Since we're moving to a new building, we needed to update the info on the brochures anyway, but it's a good opportunity to redesign them too. So, that's what I worked on - most of the day.
Ashley and I went running around 5. Since it was dark, I didn't really want to go to a park, so we actually went up to a local school's track. It was great! The temps were nearly 60 today, so it was a really pretty evening...a tad windy, but not too bad on the track. We were out there for about an hour and had a good time running/talking.
That may have actually been my last workout outdoors for a bit, 'cause they're calling for snow today. We'll see what happens!
