I'm SOOOOO Busy!

ha ha ha...it's too bad you can't hear the tone in that title comment. Today was such a great day! It's still so funny to me that my days are fairly full of activity...even without the job. I guess I shouldn't be surprised - I'm not really the "sit around" type.
Anyway, there wasn't much sleeping last night, 'cause of the 3 dogs in the bed! When one got up, the others followed - they mysteriously thought it might be playtime again and I quickly put that notion out of their silly little heads! It was a restless night to say the least, but never fear, I'll recoup at the spa today! (yes, you can call me a brat!)
Kim got home around 6:30 and, of course, the moment the garage door sounded - all 3 boys were barking and flying down the stairs to greet her! We all woke Bailey up and then Kim made breakfast for everyone. Bill came home a little bit later, from his night at the firestation, and we all had breakfast (Ryan - see...I typed it out all the way!) together. It was fun. We let all the dogs out to run like maniacs in the snow and cold. They were hilarious to watch! After Kim tood Bailey to school, Bill had a meeting and Kim was headed to bed, so Tucker and I took off as well. After all, I have a very *busy* day ahead. (ha ha)
I met Cammy up at Briarcliff for lunch at The Cafe. What a great lil' place! I hadn't been there, but the food was tasty, and it was a pretty inexpensive lunch. It was so much fun catching up with her - I really miss working with Cammy. We were a pretty good team! She's doing really well too, and thoroughly enjoying her free time with the girls too!
We headed over to Spa Tuscano after lunch - here's the deal...a while back, each of us bought a package of these salt water floats. (there's a previous blog entry about when I did this back before the Ironman...I desperately needed some R&R then!) Anyway, Cammy had 1 float left and I had 2, so we thought it would be great to meet at the spa and do those - not together (ha ha). This spa is so great - it's the only spa I've been too where I feel completely comfortable...not like you have to be hoity toity to walk in the door. Everyone is sooo nice, and it's an incredible place. We headed over and hit their European pools - a very cool room that has these 3 hot tub-looking things, each with a different water temperature, and these water falls that come down from the wall behind them...right into the pool. It's very cool and super relaxing! We sat in there for a while, enjoying the pools, until they came and got each of us for our floats. Neither of us are really "lounging" gals, so the float is a teeny bit of a challenge. As I mentioned, when I did this last time around, I was absolutely exhausted and run down, so I was really desperate for some relaxation...I'm not really in that boat now - I'm totally feeling relaxed and rested! It was good to have the restless night though, 'cause I was able to fall asleep in the float.
Anyway, we each did our float and then met in the lounge area. This is a really cool place too - you can only go in there in your spa robe...it smells soooo good in there, and they have a waterfall wall that is soothing. They have all these different chairs, footstools, drinks and snacks...you can just sit in there and relax too. So, we sat in there for a bit and then headed back to the pools. Seriously! We spent most of the afternoon - you almost have no concept of time when you're in there - it was really fun!
Back to reality...I stopped by my parent's house and talked to my dad for a little bit and then scooted home, changed clothes, grabbed a bite to eat and headed up to Epic for spin class. We started class a touch early so I could bolt to choir practice afterwards and not be horribly late. So, when class was over, I quickly gathered all my stuff and bolted to choir!
Choir practice went pretty well too...we're doing our Christmas music this sunday, so it's a good thing it went well, eh? After choir, Marcus and I helped Terry load up his desk to take over to the new building. That desk is deceptively heavy, so I'll count that as my weight training for the day too. ha ha
So, it was a full day and very enjoyable!

I think more people should take you up on the offer to do their Christmas shopping. Thanks for doing mine. :)
