Driving to Denver!

Friday morning (5a.m.-ish) I loaded up the car and headed west! I drove in 9 SOLID hours of rain! Crazy...and boy does that make the ol' eyes tired! I still made pretty decent time and arrived in Denver around 1pm.

I drove to Jennie's apartment (remember brunette Jennie from earlier entries?). She's all settled in (well, except that Jason - her husband - hasn't moved out here quite yet...finishing up with some school) anyway, Jennie is here and is attending pharmacy school. We hung out at the apartment for a bit and caught up on things. Then, showered/changed and headed out for dinner.

We met Meg (DFT-QA3 team manager/director) for dinner at a yummy pizza place near downtown. We had a great time catching up on stuff and laughed a ton - it was good times for sure.

Also on Friday, my sister's family adopted a dog! Big news for them, as the boys have wanted a dog for a long time. Exciting! Here's the blurb and some pics Sharon sent out:
Announcing the adoption of Coby! Affectionately called “Coby Cubby.” Coby is about 3 years old, and thought to be a Shepherd/Husky or Lab/Husky (maybe all three) mix. He’s very calm and quite darling. He doesn’t jump on people, and we have yet to really hear him bark (although he got close when he saw the leash for a w-a-l-k)

He's definitely found his bark, and it's quite cute. We can tell that a previous owner did train him. He doesn't "come" very well, but he does know sit, down, leave it, roll-over, and stay (although he doesn't stay very well). We're glad that he's part of our family.
