I'm just tired!

Alright, alright, I'm admitting it again - I'm plain ol' tired. That's all there is to say. I need to sleep and take a day to focus on rest, recovery and relaxation!

I attempted my 2:15 run today after church. It was in the upper 80's, but the sun was shining and I was pretty excited to get outdoors again. I really wanted - needed - a solid, long run under my belt. Unfortunately, my body wasn't connecting with my brain. The will was there, but the follow through just was not. I walked for about 20 minutes before I could even think about starting to run. That's crazy! I never take that long of a "walking" warm up. The first 10 minutes almost never feel very good, so I tried to ignore that and press on. After 2 miles, however, it still wasn't pretty. My breathing was way harder than the pace deserved. I continued with the 9:1 run/walk ratio for almost 2 hours, but the pace was painfully slow. That was about it for the running. I finished it, but certainly didn't feel good about it.

I'm trying to take tomorrow off - totally - no spin class, no work, no workout...nothing! I haven't been able to find a sub for spin, but I had one more gal who was checking on it and would let me know. Well, she didn't get back to me till this evening, and no luck. She's not able to teach. Now what? I finally made the decision that I needed to cancel class. I hate to do that - NEVER have I missed or called in sick, except for travel, and I've had a sub for those classes. I just know this is a crucial time and I need to dial it back or I'll be sorry. So, I started calling my participants and sending emails. I couldn't leave a message for the gals at the front desk, so I'll have to call them in the morning - HUGE bummer, since that means I'll still have to wake up. Oh well, I can go back to bed afterwards.

On a happy note? Today is my parents 40th wedding anniversary! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY Mom & Dad!!!!
