Dinner with a friend - and what's the deal with Denver?!

Tonight I actually met a friend for dinner...for fun...really. I've mentioned the great group of folks I have in my spinning class, and it's been fun getting to know them outside of the hour we spend spinning M/W/F mornings. Well, Jennie has been coming to class for a few months (I call her brunette Jennie so as not to confuse her with blonde Jenny). Jennie is training for the KS 70.3 race that's coming up, June 15, in Lawrence. So, over the past few months, we've talked about a thousand different things related to our races. She even came up to Terry's house and we measured and fitted her for a bike - as well as making some adjustments to the bike she is currently riding. So, it's been fun. Well, since school was out, she is working full time at a dentist office down on the plaza, so we FINALLY decided to get together.
We met after work at Baja. It was a great night to sit outside on their patio too!
I knew she had interviewed with a few different pharm. programs, and that it was up in the air if they would stay here or move this summer - well, it's official - she and her husband are moving to Denver! What? Here we go again. I told her that it feels like so many of the people I start a connection with - and people you could ride, run, etc. with - end up moving. Ok, not all of them to Denver (Peggy and George!), but they move, and there goes another pal in the sports world.
Oh right, it's not all about me! ha ha This is a great opportunity for Jennie and I'm excited for her and Jason. Hopefully I'll get to see them on a visit out there sometime too...we'll see.
Good luck in your 1/2 IRONMAN, Jennie! and best wishes with the move to Denver!
