The plan was, however, to take the new bike on it's maiden voyage midday. Well, it wasn't looking too promising at this point, so Terry, Troy and I agreed to play it by ear for a possible ride later in the day.
I spent part of my morning on the phone, catching up with Jen - I think she's about due for a blog page? Jen? :-) We were actually plotting some possible races after the first of the year - of course, these races will fit into the Ironman training. We're also talking about joining Runner's Edge for a fall/winter session. We were "guests" on a run while training for the Chicago marathon, and have also known other folks who participate - it's a great program. In fact, Eladio (the Runner's Edge coach) actually constructs the KC Marathon course that I hope to run next weekend. Anyway, joining the program would provide organized runs, set routes, coaching tips, and plain ol' accountability for showing up on a run each weekend! So, we'll see what we decide on this front.
Tucker provided me with some entertainment today. He loves to bark at himself in this full-length mirror.

Since it never really cleared up enough to take the bike out, mom and I took the dogs for a much needed walk in the park. Tucker was HYPER and it took almost the entire loop to "walk" it out of him. Note to self, teach that boy how to operate the treadmill!

Tell Tucker that we said HI! We're so surprised that he's that big. Thanks for the pictures. Love, Michael and Nathanael
