This morning, I got up at 5am, much as I hate doing that on a weekend, it's just a good idea to get the ride in prior to too much heat, etc. taking it's toll. So, I met my friend, Troy, out at Heritage Park around 6:30. It was another gorgeous morning, with hardly any wind, so it made for a great start. The route was about a 20 mile loop (well, since we turned around and made it a loop) with a nice variety in terrain. We had a couple pretty good, gradual climbs, and Troy likes to increase his speed substantially while climbing (yes, thank you, Troy), so we weren't piddling around at all. He also doesn't have a computer on his bike at the moment, so at one point I said, "do you realize we're climbing at 18 mph?!" :-) It was a fun ride. I called it a day at 45ish miles. It was getting pretty hot and the wind had really picked up. Anyway, great start to the day!
I came home, snarfed down some food, and took the two crazy boys (the dogs) for a walk at the park. It was about noon when we did that, and it was SO hot! They were really pooped by the time we got 1/2 way around.
Not much to note for the rest of the day...cleaning, errands, etc. My folks came home from Dallas tonight - I know they're happy to be home, and Tucker and I are happy to be at our home. :-)
