Tracking the Ironman - Bib #2008

Since all of my friends and family cannot make it to “the happiest place on earth” they can still cheer me on via www.ironman.com. Athletes can be searched by bib number, age group, or last name. My bib number is #2008 (pretty cool, given it's the year of the race, eh?). Those of you who also know my Iron-buddy Troy, can track him via bib #905.

At the start of the race (which, by the way - CDA is on Pacific time) you will see a link for the Athlete Tracker under the coverage tab of the event on the home page of Ironman.com. You can also access the coverage by navigating to "Events", then choosing the race you are interested in.
Thanks to each of you for the support you've provided through these months of training and preparation. It means a lot to me - more than I am really able to put into words! So, THANK YOU!!!

Many have asked about my schedule - I am officially off work now, and am working on final preparation for the race. The bikes and critical race gear began their voyage Sunday with my folks & Bailey (my niece) in the CR-V. My flight leaves here at 6:30 Wednesday morning! I am taking a laptop along, so I'll have access to email, but no promises as to how often I'll check in. I'll also try to update my blog if possible, so you know what's going on the days/hours before the gun goes off!

Thanks again...you'll all be with me on the race course!

Thanks for the chat this morning! It is always nice to catch up with you. I will be praying that you have a completed and safe Ironman. You have done something so amazing this year. You set a goal and you are completing it in a few short days. No matter the outcome be PROUD of yourself!!!

I know that you have a lot on your mind right now but try to relax and enjoy the time with your friends and family that are lucky enough to be there with you.

We will be tracking you the whole day! Won't it be strange to know that we will all know your comings and goings?

Take it easy! Love ya!
