We flew home from Dallas this morning, and I was home around 10 a.m. Again, the trip was without incident - well, Doug had to sit by a crazy dude, but I lucked out and sat by a nice fella. The flight was packed, so I was just happy to have my aisle seat. I had a horrible headache when I woke up this morning, and it didn't seem to vanish at all as the day progressed. Our flight was somewhat turbulent, so by the time we landed, I wasn't feeling great at all.
I came home and the fellas were working on my house, so I gathered all my bike/run gear, stopped at Subway to pick up lunch, and went over to my parents' house. I ate and took a little nap, hoping to get rid of the headache. When I got up, I still had a bit of a headache, but not too bad. I packed a cooler and headed out to do my 5:30 brick workout - last, long brick!
The ride portion was ok, but my HR stayed pretty low and the legs just didn't have any zip to them. I'm thinking I'm just tired. Then, two (almost 4 mile) loops of running - which was also a little bit of a struggle today - and I was done. It was late when I finished up, but at least I'm done with that and will get some recovery time this weekend. It was a long day - I couldn't even remember if I came home this morning or if that was yesterday. That's a little sad.
Tomorrow, I'm taking Tucker out to watch the Hospital Hill run. I have several friends doing the various distances, so it'll be fun to see them! Hope Tucker is a good boy!!!
