Spin and Swim

Well, there is a tiny downside to doing your long weekend training ride earlier in the week...you still have to get in all your other workouts - and function in your real job. :-)

After 3+ hours on the bike yesterday, 4:30 came a little too soon for me this morning. I felt pretty tired. Oh well, spinning class calls. On today's agenda? Long, seated climbs. I really do love my class participants - we have a variets of folks with different fitness goals, so it's really fun trying to apply the workouts across the board. Troy came to class today too, and that's always fun. We talk about our training all the time, so it's nice to have those opportunities to actually train together. I'm not gonna lie, the resistance for those climbs was just painful on my weary legs. This is why it's SO beneficial to have the class environment for some workouts - I'd be really tempted to back it down or stop early if I didn't have a group watching me. :-)

My schedule also called for a 1hr swim this morning. I was looking forward to testing out some of the drills Spencer showed us on Saturday. At least now I actually know a few drills to do! ha ha Anyway, I think it went pretty well, but it's hard to tell if you're actually getting the form right when there's no one there to critique.

I'm now at work with goggle marks on my face.

Oh, this is kinda funny...someone at work commented that I look tired today, and "maybe you're over-doing it". Is there an "over-doing it" when you're training for an Ironman?
