The KS/MO branch of DFT met this morning for a team photo and a group ride. We met up at Epic Bike and Sport, as they are a team sponsor this year. We ended up with a great turnout for 8:30 a.m. on a Saturday, especially given that over 1/2 the crew had to drive from South of the river. Anyway, it was fun to see everyone, and cool to see everyone decked out in DFT kits. One of our members, Kathy, arranged for her husband, Dean, to take our pics. This was awesome, 'cause Dean is a professional photographer - THANKS Kathy and Dean!!! He took several different shots - I'll post a few when I get them.
There were about 7 of us who headed out for a group ride...a little later start than planned, but we got out there. It was cold and windy today! Seems like I say that just about every Saturday, but it's true! Scott, Epic's owner, led us out on a ride, and Terry brought up the rear to ensure we didn't lose anyone. I was also excited that one of my Spinning class participants, Pat, came out for the ride. Poor Pat - he had to stand around and watch the rest of us pose for pics! Folks had different distances to cover, so people turned back at various times. Four of us ended up staying out about 4 hours.

And, why would I take a picture of the Platte River sign? Well, when I was in Denver, Steve was showing me the Platte River and saying how it runs to someplace in MO...his comment, "you don't know where it is...". Well, here ya go - I just happen to cross it on this route we frequently ride!

Thanks to all who rode, and thanks to Scott (and Epic) for hosting us!
