Come on now...are you kidding?

Well, it's been a hard week and weekend of training, and I'm feeling spent. I had a 4 hour ride scheduled for yesterday. I went to the airport, since I was riding solo. It wasn't quite as warm as they indicated it would be, and the wind was pretty hefty too – but I was so happy to be outdoors!!! I ended up riding fairly hard for 3+ hours, and called it quits. I was beaten down.

Today I was scheduled for a 10 mile run. I got up early, hoping to get that in before church. I wasn’t feeling well, but went ahead and hit the treadmill (it was in the single digits outdoors!) and started. About 4 miles into the run, the treadmill came to a screeching halt – lights went out – music turned off – yep, I’m not sure why, but the breaker blew. I reset it and started to get going again and just couldn’t do it. I went to church and ended up heading out early, ‘cause I kinda felt a bit flu-ish. I came home and napped all afternoon.

When I got up, I noticed that Tucker’s food bowl was empty…oh, and so is the container I keep his food in. So, I go out to the garage and lug in the new bag of food that was sitting out there. I snip off a corner on the top and proceed to pour it into the big bin, only to get a big surprise – the bottom of the bag fell out and 40 pounds of dog food quickly followed! I guess the moisture from all the snow and such had softened it and, well, the rest is pretty obvious. Of course, I had to snap a few pics which just don’t seem to do the mess justice. Yeah, so for once, this was my mess, not Tucker's!

And, lest you think I completely bailed on my workout, I finally hauled myself back on the treadmill and just finished up my run a few minutes ago! I still don’t feel great, but hopefully I’m just a little worn down and it will quickly pass!

Back to another week of work – already?

Bet Tucker loved that!
