My foot is in pretty bad shape, so even the tennis shoes aren't very comfortable. (I was planning to snap a photo of my foot for the blog, but I thought I might get some flack from my readers, so I opted not to). How am I going to wear dress shoes tonight and all day tomorrow? I check into my hotel and survey the area. There is a CVS store just two blocks away, so I make my way down the street.

Once in the CVS, I scoured each aisle, trying to determine what might best solve, or at least relieve my ailment. $30 dollars later, I leave the drugstore with an arsenal of blister-related products...knowing it will be well worth it if just one of them does the trick!

Now then, just one more stop...there was a Macy's just across the street from the CVS - I should go in there and see if I can find a pair of orthopedic shoes. Ok, not really orthopedic, but something that I could put my delicate little hoof into that would be bearable through my meetings and such. So, I tried on a few different pairs of shoes. Of course, I was only trying on the left shoe, as it would've been far too painful and hiddeous to take the right foot out of it's comfy tennis shoe. Can you believe it, I found a pair of shoes that would work. I also paid a visit to the hosiery department and bought toeless hose and some footies. I was pulling out all the stops, again in the hopes that something would work.
Back to the hotel to prop up and treat the ol' foot. Aaaaaahhhhhhh. All the purchases were not a waste, a combination of just about every purchase, and I was ready to head out to my evening engagement!!!
