So, I had my first Ironman dream last night...

isn't that odd? What was even more bizzare is that I started the race with the run. I can't recall why, but there was some hold up at the event where people were being asked to wait, so I said I would just go run a few miles first. Sure, that makes sense. Anyway, that was the first strange Ironman-related dream...I'm sure the first of many!

I tested my temporary orthodics on the treadmill last night. Not that anyone is really interested in this, but when you get a new pair of this type of orthodic, there's a "break in" period. This involves walking on them a few times first, then a short run, etc....

They were pretty uncomfortable when I started running, but after about 10 minutes, they felt ok. I only ran 3 miles on them, so I could see how my feet felt afterwards, and then today. So, my feet hurt a bit last night and this morning, but not bad. I'm really hoping to hear from the podiatrist today, telling me my new orthodics are ready!

My poor spin class...I've been watching the Tour stages in the Alps, so they got the benefit of a very tough "climb" in class this morning. And, great news!, the pool nazi wasn't there this morning! Aaaaah, it was a peaceful swim.

That sounds like a very magnificent dream you had last night. The other night I had quite an outlandish dream. The dream started with me sleeping (in my dream) at my fathers old house. I wake up to find two drug dealers from my high school sleeping on the floor next to me on a blow up air mattress. I thought this to be a little odd, but then it got even stranger. One of them stripped the air mattress of its sheets while the other went outside to get a hose. Once inside with the hose he turned it on and covered the mattress with water leaving my bedroom drenched. He then yelled “Slip n’ Slide and started gliding down the air mattress like a Slip n’ Slide. I of course joined in as this was one of my favorite past times as a child.
